This year has been a good year for DSBMB. We have supported over 15 young aspiring scientists with fellowships to participate in conferences and courses all over the world and also for the Ireland-Israel-Denmark Host-Pathogen Communication Meeting in November.DSBMB has also been involved in the Danish Bioimaging Meeting in Odense in October. You can read a summary of this great meeting elsewhere in this issue of BioZoom. On December 7th, 2018 we would like to invite you to the “Genome Editing using CRISPR/Cas9” Mini-symposium at the Mærsk Tower, Panum Institute, University of Copenhagen. This exciting event hosts many top scientists within the field covering the topics of drug screening, animal models, therapeutics and future tools and directions for the technology. You can sign up via biokemi.org/meetings. Please also keep in mind, that if you are planning to host a meeting within the scope of the society, don’t hesitate to contact us. We have a small budget to participate in covering meeting-related expenses, and a good platform for spreading the word about the event. A new board for DSBMB was elected on November 12th. This was after the deadline of BioZoom. If you would like to read the minutes or is interested in our work in the next year, please do not hesitate to contact us. There may also empty seats for engaged spirits who would like to join the board work. We look forward to another year in 2019 of great storytelling and knowledge sharing. |
