The Danish Biochemical Society is member of FEBS. Thus, members of Danish Biochemical Society are also FEBS members. This entitles our members to apply for FEBS Fellowships and participate in FEBS summer schools, courses, and workshops.

FEBS is one of the Europe's largest scientific societies within life sciences. With more than 35,000 members across Europe and neighboring countries, FEBS is a main node of scientific knowledge exchange. FEBS is a grass-root organization and functions as a voice for academic research and teaching.

Activities of FEBS include:

Journals. FEBS has four scientific peer-reviewed journals: The FEBS Journal, FEBS Letters, Molecular Oncology, and FEBS Open Bio

Congress. Every year, FEBS hosts a scientific congress within molecular life sciences and biochemistry. With about 2500 participants, the congress is one of the main scientific meetings in these areas in Europe.

Advanced Courses and workshops. FEBS supports the organization of a large number of advanced, focused courses and workshops held throughout Europe. Examples are courses in Systems Biology, Host-Pathogen Interactions, Epigenetics, Molecular targets in Ageing.
